Hi,
In the process of renewing EAD, I realized that I got 2 EAD cards. One is through my own i-485. The second one was piggy-back from my spouse's i-485. To renew it, should I renew both?
The reason of two i-485 is a long story. Mine is EB-2, thus shorter retrogression. But back then, my job was shaky. At a matter of fact, I left the company before 180 days after i-485. I got I-140 later from the employer though.
So i applied another i-485 with my spouse's EB-3 i-485, thus another EAD.
I don't want to abandon my I-485 or my spouse's I-485. Should I apply to renew both EADs?

Just came across GAO's( General Accountability Office) recommendations to make changes in H-1B program. Eventhough they talk mainly about Staffing Companies and increased employer accountability, there seems to be a mention regarding the H1B extensions beyond 6 years with simultaneous application to green card. Eventhough not stating in exact words, it seems to hint to the congress to seriously relook at H-1B extensions beyond 6years and also regarding cap exempt Visas and supposedly how easy it is to get them. Looks like with the economy being how it is, Congress might use this report to jump in and bring some unfavourable changes. Any thoughts on this...?

Iam on H1 and my wife and 2 kids are on H4. we have been here for 3.5 yrs now. My petition has to be extended next year. My employer is delaying my GC process (not applied yet).
My Wife's brother who is a citizen is planning to apply for I-130 for my wife (not sure if it can be applied for me and kids as well, that is a different question).
However my main questions are:
- if he applies for I-130 for my wife, will it affect her H4 status or will I-130 application be affected due to her H4 status here?
- Will we have a problem when we apply for the petition renewal next year?
- Also will it affect the employer based Green card application (whenever int he future my employer applies for me)?

My attorney submitted at NSC I-485 , EAD , and Travel docs on 03 July, INS received it on 05 July, No news yet of receipt..

I have received an email from USCIS that
Current Status: Approval notice sent
"On XXXXXX, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service."
This is the case regarding the application for my brother\sister. However, it's more than 10 days and I have not received the letter yet.
Called customer service and they said to wait 30 days.
Also, the processing time showing is March, 1999. I am bit confused what shall I do now. any suggestion or help would be appreciated.

Is it ok to use this form though we will be filing the I-485 on 07/01/07.

Hello,
Please let me know if anybody is travelling from BLR(Bangalore) to BOS (Boston) by British Airways on Mar 1 2011.
Because my mother-in-law is visiting US and she is travelling alone. If some travel companion is there it will be helpful as she does't speak english.

My company got one previous LC approved whose requirements are BS in CS or Engg related. I have a civil engg degree, I would like to file I140 and get old PD. Will this substitution work? If anyone with "non CS" engg degree used a labor that asked degree in "CS or Engg rel" in item 14 on 750A please share your response.

If I-485 is filed improperly, the application can be rejected and we need to resend again, however if the date move back, we will be stuck for years again.
What are the basis on which USCIS will reject the application, when the lawyer apply the application, what kind of evidence we should be double checking in our side, so that we do not have any potential for rejection.
If the fees are correct, if the forms are signed, all the initial evidence is provided? These are good enough to guarantee the acceptance of application.

Has anyone seen this pattern before for any service center? A "processing times" entry missing? Could this be just an accident, or are they sending the I-140's to another service center? This could mean a LOT to people who sent their I-140's and I-485's concurrently to TSC.

My wife, daughter and me have different dates on our green card with mine being the earliest. I am now eligible to file the N400 but my wife has 6 months to go. Does she become eligible only then or does she become eligible as my wife now, once I get approved. My daughter being a minor I guess should be fine on my application

My company filed for my GC in June'07. They goofed up and filed under EB-3 instead of EB-2. The company apologized and is ready to change my filing to EB-2. I am wondering whether this would be a good step? Following are my details.
- My PD is June07
- Labor is approved (in 1 week)
- I-140 approved
- My 6 yrs on H1 were completed in July09
- I have received 3 yr H1 ext
- Me & Spouse both have received EAD (I am not using my EAD card)
I am not tracking the progress of visa number availablilty, but I presume that EB-2 would anyday be better than EB-3.
Please advise whether chnaging to EB-2 would be a good idea?

I'm creating a car game. i managed to get the car moving and all, but i dunno how to make the car collide with the obstacles when it hits it.
How do i make it such away that if the car overlaps the kind of obstacle i want, dont have to be simple shapes but mostly oddly shaped obstacles, it would stop. that'll be good.

started as an intern with local in the month of march 06 and I was given offer till end of august. but my school official gave me work permit on a semester basis and gave it only for srping 06, which end in may 15th. I couldn't update my CPT status for 1 day for summer 06 and started on 16th may, so the school official has said that i am out of status.Since re-instatement is not possible from school as it was unauthorized work permit. They have advised me to go to home country and attend visa to be eligible for reinstatement. I have grauduated last month with masters of science..
They said they will provide me recommendation letter for me to show to consular officer. Also, I have an MBA admit in same university for spring 2007.
so should i come to new program..if thats the case how to get an emergency appoitment.
