I agree and appreciate whatever IV is doing to improve the situation of people who is on the immigration Path Employment or Family.
But yesterday I was watching the media, none of the media even just marginally said about our EB immigration. back log. what steps IV has taken so far to get the media attention? it is very said media equating immigration = Illegal.
Please work towards that too.

One question for I-140 for EB-2 versus EB-3.
If one applies for EB-2 at I-140 stage under premium processing and they turn it down. Does the application automatically go into EB-3, or do they ask you to re-apply for EB-3 at I-140? In that case, I am guessing that the premium processing fees that one has paid for EB-2 goes down the drian, right?
Please confirm your views, as I have heard different versions.

I-140s are never downgraded. During LC approval dept may say - looking into job requirements it can be only approved in EB3. of course, you have opportunity to challenge/substantiate your claim for EB2

I know IV members maybe uniformly divided between republicans and democrats. I find republicans views better too with the exception of their views on guns (war and other points).
however my main complaint against republicans is that the hardcore amongst them (esp the talk radio) ..spread hate. (remember to the average american ...legals and illegals look alike !!! ..)
and I agree nothing wrong in biden's remarks ..whereas Palin is a very wrong choice (not that I care much )

Hi All,
I have a scenario like this...
My wife and I got the receipt date for I-485 while my daughter did not...even though all of us filed on the same day through same mail package. It is puzzling how one would miss one application and process the others. Please let me know if anyone faced a similar situation.
The scene has changed a little bit with both of us receiving a FP mail notice recently. I wanted to know what would happen if both of us go ahead with the biometrics while not knowing the status of my daughters application.

It says India took a total of 41254 visas, but if you total the columns including family pref it comes to 32030. What am I missing?? Anyway how does it matter...

Hi,
Is it legal to come here and work while waiting for an L1 visa. This person(not myself) arrived on an I-94 Visa waiver with full knowledge, worked during that week while waiting for their L1A non-immigrant application to be approved(week later). Please advise. What are the ramifications of this once its passed or immigration finds out?

If you don�t want to go out of USA then you can apply for change of status to change from L1b to H1 or you can go out of USA and get H1b stamping done.

Just allowing filing of I-485 while You are retrogressed, is a boon, so u can get EAD and are allowed to change Jobs in the Same profession

I fear a backlash as by now ewr would have made my company to be marked for secondary scrutiny. this is how the story unfolded
CBP --who is your manager
XYZ -- Mr ABC who is based in atlanta ..
CBP. hmmm.. can i have his phone #
CBP calls Mr ABC .. we r deporting XYZ hs papaers r not in order ..
no call back # nothing ..
meanwhile XYZ is asked to sign papers ..
I know we can refuse but those people r so intimidating and I guess if you dont sign ICE agents come in and tell you that it could take months to send you back
so poor xyz has no option but to sign and get a stamp on his passport that he is being deported
Councilor access is a myth and so is trying to call and talk to the CBP officers
and this is not a small body shop .. it has atleast 500 people working on various projects across US and those people were not on bench
i can field any questions ...
